Our Team

Dr. Jennifer Drean is the founder and CEO of Gem State Eyecare. After graduating from Quinnipiac University with a B.A. in Psychology in 2006 and Southern College of Optometry with her Doctorate of Optometry in 2010, Dr. Drean was excited to return to Idaho. Her passions in optometry include primary care, pediatric eye ocular surface and dry eye disease, and ocular aesthetics. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and Idaho Optometric Association. 

She has participated in medical mission trips to Jamaica, Belarus, and Mexico in addition to her local community work with the Idaho Lions Foundation Vision Clinic. Currently, she volunteers with the Northwest Association of Blind Athletes for which she is a member of the board and emcee for their annual Idaho Auction. 

She is married to the love of her life, Romaric, since 2018. She is extremely grateful and proud of her children, Eric (27), Vick (19), and Luca (3). 

Dr. Drean is a voracious reader and has an unquenchable thirst for personal growth, development, and knowledge. She and her husband enjoy training and participating in triathlons together and trying not to take their golf game too seriously. They enjoy spending time with their many friends and family in the area partaking in fine foods and drinks along with visiting their family in France and traveling as often as allowed.

Clinic Director and Billing Specialist

Rose is located in our Boise clinic and serves patients and team members in both clinics. She joined Gem State Eyecare in 2016. As a native Idahoan, she has lived in Idaho most of her life and is currently in Boise with her husband, Tim. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.
